With the incredible rise in dog thefts and snatches anything that deters a would be thief is an added bonus. We have heard of a high number of cases where the thief simply unclips the lead from the collar with a swift movement and they are away with the dog into a van before the owner knows what is happening or has time to react. Anything that slows them down gives you time to react, shout, run, use self defence alarms etc. Something as simple as a twist Carabiner gives the thief another obstacle to slow them down. Instead of the traditional lead slide clip we have used a D ring and Carabiner. The carabiner is shown in the second photo and is rated at 1200KG of weight stress.
These are a standard 4' long and there is an option for 5' and 6' but we can make to any length, just message us.
To be safe don't let anyone get that close to your dog as even this as a deterrent can be opened but it just takes a bit longer.
